Gas Grill Beef Roast

Parents: What to cook??? NO oven/stove top?

Something on my camper is broken that has to do with the gas…. So no hot water, stove top, oven, or heat (if it gets cold enough, its only about 65 at night, PERFECT for us!)

Of course, I just bought some yummy food that has to be cooked in…. yup, the OVEN. I can’t even make a grilled cheese. And I’m broke until Friday.

I have every cut of beef (I think, I know ground beef and roasts and steaks) I can get from my grandparents, I have some frozen diced chicken, raw (frozen) chicken strips, and eggs from the backyard chickens.

Any suggestions on what/how to cook?
Um, not camping, we live in it….
We have electricity (mirowave, crock pot).

While it does take a long time, you can “roast” chicken in the crock pot, and either make a casserole in the pot as the other poster noted, or you can use the cooked chicken for sandwiches or any other dish that uses cooked chicken… I bet your grandma probably has an “old fashioned” electric frying pan you could borrow, then you could than make any fried dish you’d make on the stove…including fried eggs, or grilled cheese, or all sorts of burger meals… (If you can scrape up a little cash, electric frying pans and toaster ovens can usually be had at GoodWill type stores for under $5…You can make a lot of “baked” foods like chicken strips in a toaster oven…)
